I get asked how to draw dogs a lot. And believe it or not, that sort of question inspires me. It makes me want to make some tutorials (images and videos) of how to draw, what materials I use, resources that I recommend, etc for beginning artists.
But that sort of project will take time. Time that I don't always have a lot of to spare these days.
However! I want to remind you, if you have internet (which you must in order to read this) you have hundreds of tutorials and reference images and videos just a few clicks away! You just need to spend your internet browsing time wiser.
First start off broad, then try using specific key words. Switch up the key words you are using. If you are searching "disney dogs" and get nothing, try "cartoon dogs" or "how to draw canines". It's amazing the difference certain words can make.
Of course, when I do my tutorials I will share all the special videos and resources I have found in my internet adventures. But while you wait for me, make time to do some searching for yourself! Take advantage of the good things you find! Practice drawing more! Better your art! I do the exact same thing!
Here is the gem I found today. A 5 part series about drawing dogs from a past Disney and Don Bluth animator.
Let us all learn, practice and grow my dear friends!!

Happy New Year! +Updates
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
I hope everyone was able to spend time with the people they love the most to celebrate another rotation around the sun!
I'm looking forward to 2017 and what art I will make. I know the general consensus for 2016 was that it was garbage but I had a great time being alive. There were definitely rough and rocky months but I'm just working hard to make every day better than the last. I have great friends, great family, money is tight and I have problems with myself that I am still working out. But yeah, baby steps in the right direction.
So a few updates. I graduated! Yes! It's true! It still hasn't sunk in y
Looking for Female Canine Breedables
If you are not into adoptables or breedables, please ignore. Thanks!
Out of the depths of forgotteness, I have revived an old character named Skeight.
Like his father before him, I want to start studding him out in order to make some fun puppy designs.
So I'm turning to you, my watchers, to see if we can find Skeight here a girlfriend, or two, or three!
How it Works:
Send me a link of your female canine character. MUST BE CANINE. But any color or pattern is acceptable. I mean look at Skeight! He is a cotton candy colored fluffy puff! For now, I'm going to pick my three favorite females then I will draw the litters of their fictitious off
I post new art to Facebook first!
Hello and Happy New Year!
With the new year and new watchers I like to remind people that sometimes I post different things to different social media websites. So everything I post on deviantART doesn't show up on my Facebook page, and everything I post to Facebook doesn't make its way to deviantART.
So if you want the full spectrum of art I'm creating like me on Facebook by visiting facebook.com/artbymaranda
FYI: I posted a ton of facebook pictures today and I won't show them here for a little while because I'm busy!

2016 is almost here!
Hello Friends!
I don't know about you, but I'm getting excited for the new year, new possibilities and new experiences that come along with it!
As far as art goes, next semester I'm taking 3D Animation II (in Maya) along with Vector Drawing, Storyboards/Animatics, and Humorous Illustration. I have a lot things planned to create this year and am excited to see how my art grows and develops.
I also am doing a bit of clean up on my page and will hopefully be getting a premium membership soon. (Bills permitting.) Take a peak at my gallery to see my new folder icons. Pretty snazzy if I do say so myself. And also a lot of raised eyebrow expressi
